DYNHA Arthritis Impact Surveys

QualityMetric’s DYNHA® Arthritis Impact Surveys are brief, multi-question, computerized adaptive health surveys. These surveys measure the impact of arthritis and its treatment on an individual's functional health and well-being.

Two surveys are available: the DYNHA® Osteoarthritis Impact™ Survey and the DYNHA® Rheumatoid Arthritis Impact™ Survey. Intended for adults 18 years of age and older, these surveys are available in U.S. English. Both surveys surpass traditional measures of disability associated with a specific disease by assessing relevant aspects of functional health and well-being, including physical functioning, social/role participation, ability to engage in recreational and leisure activities, psychological distress, and vitality.

These Web-based surveys use QualityMetric’s computerized adaptive testing (CAT) technology to select and administer from a bank of 37 questions only those that are relevant to the level of functioning and well-being of a respondent, in order to arrive at a precise score. These 37 questions in both the DYNHA Osteoarthritis Impact Survey and DYNHA Rheumatoid Arthritis Impact Survey, covers a broader range of functional health and well-being than fixed-length paper form questionnaires. Optional questions can also be used to obtain patient-reported information on pain, medications, and treatment satisfaction.
