It's well recognized that the healthcare industry has been slow to adopt new technologies – but in the past few years – great strides have been made. The integration of legacy information technology systems with new software applications has opened the door to electronic medical records, computerized physician order entry, and patient information portals, all examples of how technology is changing the way physicians practice and patients receive medical care.

QualityMetric Health Outcomes Solutions offers scientifically valid and precise health outcomes surveys with technology solutions for administration that deliver faster, smarter, cost effective health outcomes surveys. We were the first company in healthcare to offer computer adaptive assessment surveys (DYNHA®) online, and now offer a multitude of administration modes, steeped in the latest technologies, to reach respondent populations.

Many QualityMetric surveys are now available for administration:

All health outcomes solutions take advantage of proprietary survey scoring with patient-level reporting, interpretation, and access to aggregate level data. Information is HIPAA compliant to security regulations.

Online: From off-the-shelf solutions available on amIhealthy to fully customized online survey applications that act as extensions of a customer's existing Web presence, QualityMetric has taken full advantage of the convenience and proliferation of the Web.

Online survey administration is cost-effective and typically yields high response rates within certain populations. Another benefit is streamlined scoring, interpretation, and reporting. Collected data is loaded directly into a database for scoring so there is no need for transcription or redundant processes.

Fax: Ideal for groups with limited Web presence or technical infrastructure. The QualityMetric fax administration allows paper-based surveys to be scored via our scientifically validated scoring engine on amIhealthy.com. This service utilizes a fax machine to transform written respondent answers into scored data, greatly reducing manual data entry. Once complete, scored data is made available in the form of reports, which are available online.

PDA: This mode is of tremendous value for those clinicians and administrators who are on the go and need scored data with a very fast turnaround. It is well suited to groups that have embraced handheld devices as part of their everyday workflow and have a high-degree of interaction with the respondent population. Once the survey is complete, the entered data is then transmitted via the Internet to our scientifically validated scoring engine on amIhealthy.com. Summary scores are calculated immediately and returned to the device for review. In addition, reports are immediately available on our web portal amIhealthy.com.

Interactive Voice Response (IVR): IVR is an effective alternative in health and wellness programs and disease management. Respondents to IVR employed survey administration are provided with an 800 number to access the survey. The application will then prompt the caller to provide his or her access code. After a brief introduction, the system proceeds into a series of dialog interactions with the caller to gather answers to the survey questions.

Information from the caller is then collected using speech recognition and/or touch tone technology. As with all modes, survey scoring, interpretation, and individual reports are available in real-time with aggregate level data online.
