RHODE ISLAND, February 21, 2022 — QualityMetric (QM), a technology-enabled provider of patient reported outcome (PRO) and clinical assessment outcome (COA) surveys, and consulting services, announced today the addition of Tim Burks as its newly-appointed Chief Technology Officer. Burks has joined the team led by Chief Executive Officer Garth “Gus” Gardner, who has been leading QualityMetric since the Vesey Street Capital Partner (VSCP) led recapitalization of the company in August of 2020.
“I am pleased that our search team was able to bring us such a highly qualified and experienced CTO. Tim’s experience in Health Care Consulting is just what we need to press QM forward in our digital transformation,” Gardner said. “We are a technology enabled, science-centric consultancy and our global clients demand our best efforts to be secure, compliant and to seamlessly interoperate with their tech systems.”
Burks has 25+ years of hands-on consulting experience, most recently as a “big 4” Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and as a Principal at PRTM, an operational strategy boutique firm. Over the course of Burks distinguished career he has led a variety of large, complex management and technology consulting projects, defining digital and business strategies across product development, sales and marketing, supply chain, and core IT.
While Burks has worked across industries, he has specialized in healthcare (life sciences and medical devices), and high tech (hardware and software), and looks forward to combining the two in his new role at QualityMetric.
“I’m elated to be joining the QualityMetric team! We have best-in-class PRO surveys and quality-of-life instruments, and a world class scientific team, and I love our mission – improving healthcare by ensuring that each patient’s voice is heard. I think the sky is the limit for us after we wrap world class technology around our client-facing products,” Burks said.
QualityMetric works with the world’s leading healthcare and life sciences companies to measure and better understand outcomes through the creation, administration, and review of general and patient-specific health surveys. Founded in 1997, QM combines its proprietary scientifically validated general health and disease specific surveys with its enabling technology, advanced analytics, and sector expertise to work with all the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies in clinical trials and patient surveillance.
